The Mike Douglas Show - Episode 5

During a week in mid-February (air date), John and Yoko co-hosted 5 episodes of the Mike Douglas show. Mike Douglas opened each show with a song, this time being the Rube Bloom song 'Day In, Day Out'. There was no guest singer this time; Little Richard was planned to appear, however due to the filming being pushed back from Yoko being sick on January 28th (possibly related to her gallery opening the next day), and a blizzard, he wasn't able to make it. John and Yoko played 'The Luck of the Irish', and Yoko sang the Japanese folk song 'Sakura'. The show ended with an improvised tune sung by Mike Douglas, backed with photo highlights of the week. The fifth episode was broadcast on Feburary 18th, despite not appearing on any CD release, the entire week worth of episodes was released on VHS in 1998.
